The villa Rolighed, where the Women's Museum is situated today, was the childhood home of Dagny Juel, and the exhibition describing her life can be found in the old bedroom of Dagny and her sisters.

Dagny Juel Przybyszewska (1867-1901) was a Norwegian writer, best known for her affairs with prominent intellectuals of the Expressionist movement. She was involved with Edvard Munch, August Strindberg and finally married Stanislaw Przybyszewski in 1893. She died in 1901, aged 33, at the hands of Wladislaw Emeryk, her lover at the time. An opera-cabaret about Dagny Juel ( 1867-1901) first performed at the Norwegian Women's Museum in Kongsvinger 16th September 2017.Performers:Dagny - Tora Aug During 2016 the cafeteria is closed, like the rest of the Women's Museum.
